In 2024, the NPA rekindled its strategic partnership with the International Institute on Peace Education (IIPE) and the Global Campaign for Peace Education (GCPE). The two global initiatives in peace education share NPA’s mission to “catalyze, and make accessible holistic and integrative learning and research for peace.”

NPA has a long-time partnership with the Biosophical Institute (BI). Both BI and NPA hold a vision for a greater manifestation of peace. As such, BI and NPA are embedded in one another in order to further both organization’s missions.

The 8th GAMIP Global Summit will take place in September 2024 in Abuja, Nigeria. NPA Trustees have been actively involved in Summit preparations.

Kristin Famula, NPA President, is central to the U.S. Youth Rising Initiative, which began a peacebuilding pilot program at a small, rural middle and high school in California.

Dot Maver serves on the Board of Advisors for the Ashland Culture of Peace Commission A small group of citizens came together in Ashland, OR, to create a United Nations International Day of Peace.

Mark Chupp, Founding Trustee of the National Peace Academy, works at peacebuilding focused on building bridges across differences. In 2016, he founded the Community Innovation Network, a university-based center that is cultivating a new culture of deeply collaborative community change.

Mike Abkin, NPA Trustee,  is working with the Elders Climate Action project of the Elders Action Network to develop multigenerational actions on climate change.

In November 2018, Trustee Tara Stuart, as a member of the National Peace Academy, explored new peacebuilding contacts in Cape Town, South Africa.

Elaine Yarbrough, NPA Board Member, focuses her peacebuilding on many levels. Her conflict management work in organizations makes places of work more peaceful and productive.
